Andreas Bummel

International organisations and multilateral collaboration have come under increasing pressure. This online panel, moderated by Andreas Bummel, will discuss whether more citizens’ participation at the UN is a key to turn the tide. Panelists will discuss the proposed UN World Citizens’ Initiative and explore what role such a new instrument could play to strengthen the UN and make it more responsive and democratic.

This session is organized by Democracy International as part of this year’s Online Forum on Modern Direct Democracy.

In order to participate in this session, please register for the Online Forum on Modern Direct Democracy here.
